Barrel Explosion
This explosion effect was created first by modelling the barrel in Blender, taking the model into Houdini, I then created the destructable pieces, the expulsion of the mesh pieces as well as the explosion smoke. I then exported this effect to Unity engine as a VAT (Vertex animation texture), which uses a texture to animate the mesh explosion. I also exported the smoke as a flipbook image to use as a billboard animation in tandem with the VAT to create the effect shown.
Character VFX
This effect was used in tandem with Mixamo character as well as accompanying animations.
The displayed effects were made using visual graph in Unity.
