Bears World of Toys
Game Pitch
As part of a teamwork module for college, we were asked to prepare a game prototype and pitch it to StoryToys, a mobile game company. We decided on the teams and got to work developing ideas for the game, all of which was happening remotely over video calls due to the covid-19 pandemic.
I was responsible for the programming, UX and animation for the prototype and consulted with the rest of the team on how to implement the features we wanted to highlight in the prototype.
This project taught me a lot, especially in the aspect of seeking alternate solutions as I was racking my brain, figuring out how to implement one of the game mechanics, one of my teammates suggested using animation in tandem with the code to create the appearance of a functioning prototype, which in retrospect appeared more visually interesting while serving the function of the game pitch.
